Our most popular eco-adventure, the Boat Assisted Kayak ECO Tour combines the best if a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in single great experience. The tour begins a very comfortable transport boat that brings you into the Park' core and very near to the wildlife. We then "slow" down the tour using very stable, very comfortable kayaks to get you very close to the wildlife. They are very silent and unobtrusive to the wildlife allowing you to get closer to the wildlife than by any other means. Finally we explore the tidal zone of a remote island beach. A beach few can ever get to. Expect excellent shelling here! Imagine paddling next to manatees and dolphins. No previous paddling experience is required, we do not paddle far and we have single, as well as, two-person kayaks. This tour truly is one of the best ways to experience Everglades National Park. Seating is limited to six guests, so reservations are important.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been an educator all my life in addition to an environmental consultant. Everglades Area Tours.com provides the opportunity to share our passion for the Everglades with families, students ad travelers worldwide.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
All our guides are trained Florida master naturalists who live work in area full-time, all year round. With the depth of our knowledge and experience, we are able to provide the largest variety of tours available. We are the only "Silver Level" operator in the area accredited by the Florida Society for Ethical Eco Tourism?
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We operate out of a historic building on Chokoloskee Island just outside of Everglades City and are surrounded by Everglades National Park. From Goodand, we offer boating experiences into the 10,000 Islands.
